London Launch for World Class Glaucoma AtlasHemel Hempstead, UK – Glaucoma education is elevated to a new level on 7 June, when ground-breaking Glaucoma Imaging Atlas is launched in London by Heidelberg Engineering.

Pioneering the field of glaucoma diagnosis and management, Heidelberg Engineering’s launch at the Royal Society of Medicine in Wimpole Street, is supported by world-leading clinicians who have contributed to the reference.

“This comprehensive diagnostic imaging guide for glaucoma assessment and management features 27 contributors from five countries and 30 detailed patient case studies. It is the cornerstone of Heidelberg Engineering Academy’s educational programme,” said Ali Tafreshi, Heidelberg Engineering’s Director of Clinical Research in Germany.

“Our longstanding commitment to high-quality diagnostic imaging provides a global standard in eye care practices and academic institutions. This atlas is the culmination of extensive interpretation of OCT images and data by some of the most respected clinicians in the field. It will be used as a teaching tool to further educate the medical community on the implementation of our OCT technology, as an aid to diagnosis and management, enabling effective, individualized patient care,” he said.

The presentations of case studies will be made by Ali Tafreshi, Director of Clinical Research at Heidelberg Engineering, Germany, Christopher Mody, UK Director of Clinical Affairs, and Dr Christian Mardin, Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany.
