Hemel Hempstead, United Kingdom – The Heidelberg Engineering Academy has revealed the esteemed panel of clinicians headlining the 7th Annual Retina Masterclass in Glasgow. The keynote speakers for the meeting have been confirmed as Professor Alastair Denniston, Consultant Ophthalmologist, University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, alongside James Talks, Consultant Ophthalmologist, Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Chairman Professor Baljean Dhillon, Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology, University of Edinburgh and Hon. Consultant Ophthalmologist, Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion, Edinburgh.
“This year’s Masterclass will explore new frontiers in diagnostic imaging, challenge the imaging definitions of diabetic retinopathy with a multimodal imaging approach and discuss how quantitative imaging of inflammatory eye disease will improve patient care,” explains Christopher Mody, Director of Clinical Affairs at Heidelberg Engineering. “In addition, a special guest speaker, only to be revealed on the night, will deliver an innovative lecture on spaceflight-associated neuro-ocular syndrome (SANS).”
The Masterclass will be held on the evening of Wednesday 22nd May from 5:30-8:00pm at the Crowne Plaza Glasgow, directly adjacent to the SEC Centre where the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Congress will take place.
