Heidelberg Engineering launches 2019 CET schedule

Heidelberg Engineering has launched a comprehensive education schedule for 2019. The ever-popular nationwide OCT roadshow series is back, with events taking place in London, Gloucester, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Plymouth. In this year’s workshops, optometrists will learn how to use OCT parameters to assess a patient’s risk of glaucoma. Each workshop will be worth 3 interactive CET points to optometrists and dispensing opticians.

In addition to the roadshows, a number of courses will be on offer at the Heidelberg Engineering Academy Training Centre, including “Hands-on OCT Operator”, “OCT Operation and Interpretation” and “Glaucoma Evaluation” courses. The OCT Operation and Interpretation Course carries 7 interactive CET points for optometrists and dispensing opticians.

100% Optical 2019 will see Andrew Tatham, Consultant Ophthalmologist, Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion, Edinburgh, take the stage with a CET accredited lecture on using OCT to manage glaucoma patients in the primary care setting, whilst on-stand CET workshops will be back for the duration of Optrafair 2019.

“The comprehensive education programme from the Heidelberg Engineering Academy offers training in acquiring the best images and interpreting the results to both new and experienced OCT users,” explains Christopher Mody, Director of Clinical Affairs, Heidelberg Engineering.
“Our courses are always interactive and encourage peer-to-peer networking so that participants have the opportunity to learn from each other and share their success stories”.
