Heidelberg Engineering donates a SPECTRALIS® OCT to The Partially Sighted SocietyHeidelberg Engineering is very happy in being able to donate a SPECTRALIS® OCT to The Partially Sighted Society and to elevate their clinical diagnostic abilities. This will further empower them to keep doing the great work they do to help more people living with vision impairment and sight loss.

The team was very happy to have received this donation:

A huge, huge thank you to Tosh Vadhia of Heidelberg Engineering UK for visiting us and for donating this state-of-the-art OCT machine for our optometry service! This machine allows us to take detailed pictures of eyes to help us diagnose and better understand the complex issues that are affecting the many people that come to us for help.” – Anita Plant, CEO of The Partially Sighted Society

Heidelberg Engineering donates a SPECTRALIS® OCT to The Partially Sighted SocietyHeidelberg Engineering Ltd.’s Managing Director, Tosh Vadhia, discusses the donation:

Upon visiting Anita and the team, I soon realized that the SPECTRALIS would be an essential tool in supporting their amazing work. With patients arriving with little or no history or records and having to piece together their visual impairment condition, it soon became apparent that the SPECTRALIS would alter their clinical workflow. The OCT scan would now be the first diagnostic test they would undertake. With the SPECTRALIS being able to scan through undilated pupils and being able to pass through a host of media opacities, it gives them a real advantage in understanding the patients’ conditions. This in turn allows them to tailor their management options to enable those with partial or progressing sight loss to lead a more comfortable life” – Tosh Vadhia, Managing Director Heidelberg Engineering UK
