Hemel Hempstead, England — Heidelberg Engineering Ltd. is pleased to welcome Alex Montgomery-Gomm to the team as Helpdesk and Contracts Coordinator.
Alex brings a wealth of experience from hospitality, the fire service, and over seven years in the optical industry. His journey in optics began at Boots Opticians, followed by a move to Specsavers in Hemel Hempstead, where he took on additional roles in merchandising and diagnostic screening.
While supporting the NHS Community Health & Eye Care (CHEC) programme, Alex operated Heidelberg’s SPECTRALIS® Spirit and Heidelberg Eye Explorer (HEYEX) systems daily. This hands-on experience sparked a strong interest in the technical and diagnostic side of eye care.

Alex’s practical knowledge and customer-first approach make him a valuable addition to the Heidelberg Engineering team.
